"MINDFULNESS FOR TEACHERS"
In this workshop, we will explore how Mindfulness practice can help us become better educators. Many of the mistakes we make when interacting with children and adolescents in educational settings stem from being unconsciously controlled by a mental "auto-pilot" mode. This mode often leads us to repeat counterproductive reactions and attitudes without realizing it.
Mindfulness teaches us to consciously pay attention to the present moment. This heightened awareness calms our minds and emotions, providing us the opportunity to reduce impulsive and automatic behaviors. By choosing new, more thoughtful responses, we can communicate more effectively with children.
Practicing Mindfulness fosters compassion and empathy, helping us better fulfill the purpose of education: to nurture creative, joyful students with high self-esteem and the ability to live fulfilling lives.
